The Club Management Association of Canada Announces Will Guidara as Keynote Speaker for 2023 National Conference

 

TORONTO, Ontario (July 10, 2023) – The Club Management Association of Canada (CMAC) is excited to announce that registration is open for the 2023 National Conference taking place in Toronto, Ontario from October 14-18.

With a theme of “Innovate, Navigate, Motivate”, attendees can look forward to an outstanding educational program with sessions on a range of topics from cybersecurity best practices, to governance and leadership skills Ted Lasso-style, to return to work, and pay transparency, delivered by leading industry experts.

CMAC is thrilled to announce that Will Guidara will be sharing his knowledge and inspiration with delegates during the Keynote Session on Sunday, October 15.

Will Guidara is the author of the National Bestseller Unreasonable Hospitality, which chronicles the lessons in service and leadership he has learned over the course of his career in restaurants.

He is the former co-owner of Eleven Madison Park which, under his leadership, received four stars from the New York Times, three Michelin stars, and in 2017 was named #1 on the list of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants.

He is the host of the Welcome Conference, an annual hospitality symposium that brings together like minded people to share ideas, inspire one another, and connect to form community.

A graduate of the hospitality school at Cornell University, he has co-authored four cookbooks, was named one of Crain's New York Business's 40 Under 40, and is the recipient of WSJ Magazine's Innovator Award.
 

Throughout the conference, attendees will experience Toronto from new heights and perspectives as they network with colleagues from across the country. The conference will be hosted at the InterContinental Toronto Centre, located in the heart of downtown Toronto and steps away from local landmarks and entertainment. The Welcome Reception will take place at the top of the CN Tower, giving delegates a 360° view of the city. The Progressive Club Tours will take delegates outside the downtown core to visit two clubs steeped in history and tradition, the Toronto Golf Club and the Mississaugua Golf and Country Club. The Golf Day returns this year and attendees have the opportunity to experience a round of golf at one of Canada’s top-rated classic golf courses at Rosedale Golf Club. Finally, attendees can look back on the city and see the iconic skyline from the shores of the Toronto islands while enjoying a spectacular evening at the President’s Dinner hosted at the Royal Canadian Yacht Club.
