Allied Associations

In an effort to grow the club management industry, and to create the best possible opportunities for our members to develop professionally, the Club Management Association of Canada has both formal and informal connections with related organizations. These include our membership in NAGA (the National Allied Golf Associations), our close ties with CMAA (Club Management Association of America), or more informal ties with hospitality associations or international associations.

National Allied Golf Associations (NAGA)

We Are Golf is a public awareness raising initiative sponsored by the National Allied Golf Associations, which includes the following members: Golf Canada, Canadian Golf Superintendents Association, Professional Golfers’ Association of Canada, the Club Management Association of Canada and the National Golf Course Owners Association Canada.

 

Club Management Association of America (CMAA)

The CMAA is the professional association for managers of membership clubs. The objectives of the association are to promote and advance friendly relations among persons connected with the management of clubs and other associations of similar character; to encourage the education and advancement of its members; to assist club officers and members, through their managers to secure the utmost in efficient and successful operations.

  CMAA has formal agreements with a number of club management associations across the world who have implemented the CCM designation. These organizations are referred to as CMAA's Global Partners. CMAC is proud to be considered a Tier One Global Partner as the first international organization to initiate the certification in club management program. There are currently nine Global Partners including: Club Managers Association of EuropeClub Management Association of Southern Africa, CMAA China Chapter, Columbia (ASOGECLUB), Golf Managers Association of New ZealandAsian Golf Industry FederationClub Managers Association of Eastern AfricaGolf Managers Association of Australia/Golf Australia. Other international organizations include The Club Manager's Association of Hong Kong.

Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP)

HFTP is recognized as the spokes group for the finance and technology segments of the hospitality industry with members and stakeholders spanning across the globe. HFTP uniquely understands the industry's pressing issues and assists its stakeholders in finding solutions to their challenges more efficiently than any organization. It does this via its expert networks, research, certification programs, information resources and conferences/events such as HITEC.
