Four Club Management Professionals Achieve
Internationally Recognized Certified Club Manager (CCM) Designation
TORONTO, Ontario (May 4, 2018) – The Canadian Society of Club Managers (CSCM) is delighted to announce the four Canadian club management professionals who have most recently attained the designation of Certified Club Manager (CCM) and join the 65 other CCMs in Canada. The CCM designation indicates that a club management professional has completed a rigorous course of study and training and shows a dedication to proficiency and expertise in club management.
The CCM designation is the hallmark of professionalism in club management established by the Club Managers Association of America in 1965. CSCM launched the Certification Program in Canada in 2004. The designation is a valuable, internationally recognized, and widely-respected mark of a manager’s commitment to professional development and the club industry. In order to receive the CCM designation, one must invest time in specified education requirements, attend at least one CSCM National Conference, be a member of CSCM for a minimum of six years and maintain activity within their local Branch. After these conditions have been met, the individual must pass the CCM Exam. Attainment of the CCM title shows a long-term commitment to professional development and club management.
The following club managers successfully met all CCM requirements in April 2018:
Simon Bevan, General Manager
Riverbend Golf Community – London, ON
Toni-Marie Ion-Brown, General Manager
Calgary Petroleum Club - Calgary, AL
Alfredo Colalillo, General Manager
Markland Wood Golf Club - Etobicoke, ON
Ian Webb, CCM, PGA, Chief Operating Officer
The Credit Valley Golf and Country Club - Mississauga, ON
CSCM extends its sincere congratulations to these newly certified professionals and encourages them to continue their professional development in the future. For more information on the CCM designation and requirements, please visit https://thecmac.ca/education/certification.html
