This virtual summit will be divided into two sessions. Attendees are welcome to register for either the early or later session or spend the whole day learning with fellow club management professionals and register for the full-day experience.

What’s on the morning agenda?

(11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. ET)

Giving Feedback

  • Understand why people react defensively to feedback and what to do about it.
  • Three different kinds of feedback: evaluative, coaching and appreciation.
  • The impact of tone, word choice, and delivery method in providing feedback.

Eliciting Feedback

  • How to enhance your professional growth by ensuring that you receive the feedback you need to succeed.

Takeaways

By the end of the morning session, you will understand the psychology of feedback and why it is so challenging to both give and receive. Through this understanding you will gain the confidence and insight to both effectively deliver to others and elicit feedback for yourself.

What’s on the afternoon agenda?

Managing Up

  • Is it a good idea to give negative feedback to your boss?
  • How to say “no”.

  • How to handle the most difficult of difficult conversations with grace and confidence.

 Takeaways

By the end of the afternoon session, you will acquire practical tips on handling two of the hardest feedback conversations: first, with the people who manage you, and second, with the people who are no longer a fit for your organization.
