Domer Rafael is a highly skilled and dynamic industry professional at the prestigious Manitoba Club, western Canada's oldest private club and a top 100 platinum city club of the world.

As Food and Beverage Manager/Head Sommelier, Domer oversees all aspects of the club's food and beverage and tobacco retail operations, ensuring seamless service and a welcoming ambiance for members and guests. He leads a dedicated team, fostering a culture of excellence and professionalism. Domer's commitment to delivering exceptional customer service has made the club a sought-after destination in Winnipeg's social scene.

In addition, Domer is also the National president of the Canadian Association of Professional Sommeliers, the governing body responsible for competition, education
and higher learning for Sommeliers from coast to coast.

Robert Shedden - Conference Co-Chair
Clubhouse Manager
St. Charles Country Club

Having grown up at his family restaurant on Falcon Lake Golf Course, Robert has worked in the golf industry for the past 25 years, holding positions in many departments including golf operations, grounds, administration, and food & beverage (both front of house and back of house). 

In 2010 while completing his diploma in golf management at Camosun College, Robert entered the world of private clubs at Victoria Golf Club. From there Robert came home to Manitoba to become the Operations Manager at Lorette Golf Course, followed by six years at Pine Ridge Golf Club where he became Assistant General Manager, before taking on the position of Clubhouse Manager at the historic St. Charles Country Club in 2021.

Robert is the current President of the Manitoba Branch and is working towards his CCM designation to supplement his diplomas in business administration and golf management.

Derek Bevans
Director of Premium Services, Sodexo Live! at Canada Life Centre

Derek has 15 years of club experience in some of Edmonton’s top golf, multi-sport, social and family clubs including the Royal Glenora Club, Derrick Golf & Winter Club and the Edmonton Country Club. Derek's love of events, wine, employee engagement and building relationships with members brought him to Winnipeg in May 2023. Currently serving as the Director of Premium Services, Derek's focus is bringing elevated service to the arena's premium members and season seat holders in the clubs, suites, VIP catering, and in seat service.

James Chapman
General Manager, Glendale Golf & Country Club

James Chapman, General Manager of Glendale Golf & Country Club. James has 20 years of club management experience and is a member of the PGA of Canada. James looks forward to welcoming many CMAC members and their staff to the wonderful city of Winnipeg for the conference. 

Graham Davis, CCM
General Manager, Manitoba Club

Graham was appointed as General Manager of Manitoba Club in 2010 and has been toiling away in the club industry for the past 24 years. In 2014, Graham co-founded and co-chaired CMAC’s 2014 and 2017 City Club Summit (Chicago, San Francisco). Graham co-chaired CSCM’s National Food and Beverage Conference in 2016 in Winnipeg, and the 2016 National Conference in Chicago. In 2017, Graham was honoured with the Canadian Society of Club Managers’ “Club Manager of the Year” award. As a result of the amazing team of incredible professionals he works with on the daily, he co-guided Manitoba Club to Platinum Club of the World Top 100 City Club status in 2020 and the club continues to enjoy that standing to present day, it’s 149th year of operation. In his time away from the club, he and his wife enjoy dragging their Airstream trailer around the continent and long early morning walks with his beagle.
