2024 National Food & Beverage Management Conference

That’s it, back to Winnipeg!

The Manitoba Branch is ready to welcome you to the heart of the nation from February 25 28 and begin Building Bridges with your fellow club management professionals, membership, teams, and communities alike. Our conference committee is developing an educational program that will expand your ability to create inclusive experiences for our diverse memberships, all while deepening our shared bond in club management through intriguing social programming.

Winnipeg, located on Treaty One Territory, the home and traditional lands of the Anishinaabe (Ojibwe), Ininew (Cree), and Dakota peoples, and in the National Homeland of the Red River Métis, has always been a place of connection. Having grown from an Indigenous trading place at the forks of the Red & Assiniboine Rivers, Winnipeg is now a diverse and multicultural urban centre with exceptional culinary experiences, world class attractions, a bustling arts and culture scene, and passionate sports fans. Go Jets Go!

Our host hotel is a national historic site, the 110 year-old Fort Garry Hotel. Located in downtown Winnipeg, this hotel is iconic to our city. Its lobby lounge, The Oval Room, is an architectural gem that will offer the perfect backdrop to casual conversations with colleagues and friends. The overnight rooms have been recently renovated and are as comfortable as they are charming, and the event rooms are well-appointed and ornate. Those who have a little more time on their hands can take in a comedy show at Yuk Yuk’s Comedy Club, enjoy Italian fine dining from a Michelin Star Chef, or rejuvenate their bodies with a Hamam ritual at Ten Spa, all under the same roof.

Delegates can look forward to being inspired to perform at their best by an Olympic champion, learn about the importance of diversity & inclusion as core values at their clubs, take in the opportunity to sip on one of the finest spirits in the world, and as always collaborate with their peers across the country. Our off-site visits will take you to Winnipeg's finest attractions, while our club tours will take you to some of Canada’s most historic clubs, including the oldest club in Western Canada, which also happens to be a Platinum Club of the World.

Winnipeg is notorious for sunny prairie skies in February with an average daily temperature of 17 degrees (there may be a negative in front of that, but let’s not get caught up in semantics). What we lack in temperature we make up for in warmth, as our province truly lives up to our moniker of “Friendly Manitoba”. Our committee can’t wait to show off our great city and clubs, share in quality educational programming, and Build Bridges with our peers as we welcome you to the CMAC National Food & Beverage Management Conference in Winnipeg this February!
