James Beebe is a graduate of Seneca College and Penn State University and recently retired after 30 years as the Golf Course Superintendent at Priddis Greens Golf & Country Club. James led and collaborated with many outstanding teams, achieving significant milestones such as hosting three Canadian Women’s Opens, including an LPGA major. He oversaw numerous successful golf course renovations, built nine new holes and helped Priddis Greens become synonymous with excellence. Throughout his career, James mentored numerous team members who have gone on to build successful careers in golf course management. He is a lifetime member of the AGSA, CGSA, and the GCSAA. James has served as President of both the AGSA and CGSA and is a proud recipient of the AGSA Distinguished Service Award and the CGSA Superintendent of the Year Award. In the second phase of his career, James is now providing leadership coaching and mentoring for individuals and teams in the golf industry, while partnering with golf course architect Wade Horrocks, providing agronomic and project management services. |

Scott Hippe is the Chief Executive Officer of the Royal Glenora Club in Edmonton, Alberta, a position he has held since May 2022. With over two decades of experience in the hospitality and country club industry, Scott has earned a reputation for excellence and innovative leadership. Prior to joining the Royal Glenora Club, he served as the General Manager and Chief Operating Officer at the Edmonton Petroleum Golf & Country Club and held leadership roles at Belvedere Golf & Country Club and the Edmonton Country Club. His tenure at the Royal Glenora Club has been marked by significant redevelopment efforts, elevating the club’s facilities and member experiences. Additionally, as a certified sommelier, Scott has used his expertise to enhance the club’s wine program, reflecting his passion for delivering exceptional hospitality. Recently, Scott has embarked on a new personal challenge: ultra-marathon running. With a deep love for the outdoors and a passion for exploring trails, he has embraced the physical and mental demands of long-distance running as a way to stay connected to nature and continuously push his boundaries. This personal journey mirrors his professional ethos of resilience, determination, and striving for excellence. Whether on the trails or in the boardroom, Scott brings energy and commitment to every endeavor. |

Jim is proud to serve the Derrick Golf & Winter Club in Edmonton, Alberta as General Manager/Chief Operating Officer. He has managed clubs on Vancouver Island, in the Okanagan Valley and in Calgary where he resided for 15 years. He is a past Provincial and National President of the Club Management Association of Canada (CMAC). Jim believes success in the club industry comes from the sharing of ideas and information. With continued education and networking, club leaders will create, discover, and improve best practices that make our clubs a cornerstone of our members' lives. |

Dave has 25 years of hospitality industry experience, including 15 years in private club management. He was an Assistant General Manager at a full-service, members-only club and previously worked at a semi-private golf and curling club in Canmore. Dave holds a post-secondary degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management and is a Certified Club Manager (CCM) from the Club Management Association of Canada. He has a proven track record of significantly increasing and maintaining superior guest satisfaction ratings. Dave has been with Basecamp Resorts since 2018. |

Brice MacDermott is an accomplished private club leader with over a decade of experience leading clubs. Passionate about people and building meaningful connections, Brice is dedicated to fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within teams. With a strong focus on strategic leadership and operational excellence, Brice has a proven track record of assembling and developing high-performing teams that are committed to exceeding member expectations. Brice earned the Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation in 2021 and is a Class "A" member of the PGA of Canada, underscoring a commitment to professional development and continual growth. In addition to his operational expertise, Brice currently serves on the National Board of Directors for the Club Management Association of Canada (CMAC) and previously held the role of President for the Alberta Branch, demonstrating a deep dedication to advancing the private club industry. Outside of professional commitments, Brice enjoys spending time with and going on adventures with family, which recently took them to New Zealand. Brice actively contributes to the community and is a proud coach with the Edmonton Amateur Baseball Association. |

Steven Young is the current director of golf at the Fairmont Banff Springs where he has served in the role since 2006. Prior to Banff, Steven was the Director of Golf at the Fairmont Algonquin in St. Andrews, New Brunswick. Prior to joining Fairmont, Steven served as the Executive Director of the New Brunswick Golf Association where he performed course ratings, was a nationally certified rules official and ran provincial golf championships while serving the Board of Directors. Steven has a degree in Kinesiology from Queens University and has earned the designation of Executive Golf Professional with the PGA of Canada. In 2023, Steven was recognized as the Executive Golf Professional of the year for Alberta. Steven is a consummate volunteer. He has served as the President of Curling Alberta and the Banff Curling Club. He currently sits on the Governor’s council and Industry council of Golf Canada, is Vice-President of the AB-Chapter of the NGCOA and President of the Rocky Mountain Curling Association. |
